# Funding and launch readiness checklist

- Verify funder eligibility for a for-profit LLC; review each opportunity rather than assuming all grants exclude businesses.
- Explore a fiscal sponsor/nonprofit partnership where required; obtain written agreement before claiming one.
- Assemble formation documents, EIN verification, business banking, and approved budget.
- Check SAM.gov/UEI and program-specific registrations only when required by a federal opportunity. SBIR/STTR eligibility requires qualifying research and development; TMM does not automatically qualify.
- Approve mission, service geography, target audience, pilot capacity, and measurable objectives.
- Supply founder biography, qualifications, portrait, and any verified advisors.
- Confirm professional scope, Zoom safeguarding, insurance, and emergency escalation with qualified counsel.
- Attorney-review privacy, cancellation, consumer-health-data obligations, and membership terms. HIPAA applicability is a legal determination; other privacy laws may apply even where HIPAA does not.
- Configure sender domain for app confirmations. Use a dedicated marketing email service before newsletters; include verified consent, mailing address, and working unsubscribe.
- Payments/member access remain unlaunched; complete entitlement enforcement, billing, renewal and cancellation testing before accepting memberships.
- Test deletion requests with identity verification and track response deadlines. Scheduled retention deletion is separate from individual requests; anonymous data may not be identifiable by email.
- Record partner/logo/testimonial publication permission. Do not fabricate impact numbers or clinical endorsements.
- Scholarships/sliding scale and Spanish materials are proposed access initiatives, not available benefits until funded and delivered.
- Review research periodically and label illustrative projections and self-report tools accurately.
